Although Sophia has only been competing for three years, her enthusiasm for the sport and for working hard to achieve have paid off.  There is no telling what heights Sophia will be able to achieve!

2019 - Lily Carbray-Roberts takes Gold
Skate Ontario Sectional Pre-Novice Invitational

Lily took her first steps on the ice with the Champions Training Centre and Preston Figure Skating Club and since that time has continuously improved and honed her skating skills to become a Champion!

2017 - Carol Wheeler & Kevin Wheeler
Recipients of the 2017 Sports Contributor of the Year Award City of Cambridge

Brother and Sister team keep it all in the family. Carol Wheeler & Kevin Wheeler are both certified Skate Canada National Level coaches with more that 55 years of coaching experience between them. As youngsters, they grew up and learned how to skate in the small village of Brussels, Ontario.

2017 - Mrs. Mary Hartrick was inducted into the Western Ontario Section Hall of Fame in 2017.

Mrs. Hartrick has been a team coach with the Preston Figure Skating Club and the Champions Training Centre for many, many years and is a well-respected coach amongst her collegues.  She has had many champions at the Sectional, Challenge, National and International Levels during her career. What a wonderful honour it is to have and continue to have such an amazing coach and person work with our athletes and school.

Very Well Deserved! And long overdue!

Robin Marissink

Robin is a former skater with the Champions Training Centre.  Robin's life has been full of amazing experiences in many places and countries but through everything she always has brought her back to the sport of figure skating.  She shares her story that enforces the value of skating, health, being grateful for the little things and how sports can be an important medicine, helping you stay present, grounded and humble.
